Membership in NASLR is open to states with a state sponsored program for the reclamation of lands affected by mining, state officials who are involved in administering a state sponsored mining reclamation program (if their state is not already a member), retirees of a state sponsored mining reclamation program, and individuals, college professors, and students with a mining reclamation interest. NASLR membership is open to states with both coal and non-coal mining industries.
There are two categories of membership in NASLR: State and Associate. Employees of a member states mining reclamation program are automatically considered members of NASLR. Members of NASLR are entitled to attend the annual conference, receive the newsletter, attend the quarterly webinars, and sponsored trainings.
